ThePureBag® BAG VS COTTON FITNESS BAG
Villanova University, October 2017
In a study conducted by Villanova University, ThePureBag® was compared to a standard cotton bag to assess the two bags in terms of protection from germ infiltration and growth. Both bags were brand new and were equally exposed to normal gym conditions for several hours. A used mat and a used towel were each split and the halves were placed in each bag with removal prior to the onset of the study. The two bags were both evaluated by swabbing and culturing their respective exteriors and interiors at Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3.
ThePureBag® data and study results indicated no discernible bacterial growth during the 3-day study. The cotton bag, however, showed evidence of visible bacterial colonies at Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 observations. Those data support use of ThePureBag™ to mitigate the presence and growth of bacterial on both the interior and exterior surfaces of the bag.

ThePureBag® MAT WRAP VS UNWRAPPED MAT
Villanova University, August 2018
This 3-Day study looked at and compared a mat that was exposed to normal use in a gym setting for a day. The mat was split length-wise for this study. One half was left “as is” and the other was wrapped in ThePureBag® Mat Wrap.
The mat utilized for this study was new and never exposed to use prior to the day of exposure to a gym/studio environment. For external exposure, both mat sections were placed next to each other on the studio/gym floor and used for the course of a day. One mat section was wrapped inside ThePureBag’s® Mat Wrap, while the other was presented with no protection. The front and back surfaces of both mats were swabbed onto petri dishes for culture assessments.
The cultures showed no viable bacterial growth for the mat protected with ThePureBag’s® mat wrap for the day 1, day 2, and day 3 evaluations. The unprotected mat showed significant growth of visible bacteria colonies on the day 1, day 2, and day 3 evaluations.
